Biography
Victor Hernandez is a professional and experienced Spanish interpreter with a demonstrated history of working across all sectors of the market including but not limited to medical practice of any specialty, legal/court, community based and conference interpreting.
Victor is a native Spanish speaker. He has over 16 years of formal education in Spanish including post-secondary education and has lived and studied in Mexico for over 4 years. Living in Mexico gave Victor a well-rounded understanding of the Spanish language including cultural nuances. He holds a BS degree in industrial/organizational psychology with emphasis on the organizational piece from CSU East Bay.
In 2008, Victor was invited to provide Spanish interpretation in a group therapy setting for a mental health nonprofit organization in San Mateo County. As an interpreter/translator and co-facilitator, he realized how important language access was for limited English speakers. Victor then obtained a certification of completion from a Spanish/English Legal/Court program as well as a Certified Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) credential.
After working as a freelance interpreter beginning in 2013, Victor noticed that his schedule was so booked he was having to turn away clients. The dream of On Point Language Solutions, a full-service language provider, was realized so that Victor would not have to turn anyone away and could provide language services to a broader clientele in over 25 different languages. Victor is very driven and passionate and always looking for new ways of bridging the language barrier gap in order to increase efficiency and create new opportunities for growth for his clients.
On Point Language Solutions provides on-site certified and qualified interpreters in simultaneous, consecutive and site translation modes. On Point Language Solutions specializes in written translations, interpretation, cultural consulting, and interpreting equipment rental. On Point Language Solutions also provides remote conferencing sessions through our online platforms.
